Synopsis: Our world will be transformed on July 4 when aliens make Earth

Mac, Duhamel set for 'Transformers' movie
Bernie Mac and Josh Duhamel are set to star in Michael Bay's "Transformers: The Movie" for DreamWorks and Paramount. Live-action production starts lensing this month, with release scheduled for July 4, 2007. Budgeted well north of $100 million, "Transformers" is based on the comicbook, cartoon and Hasbro toy line popular in the 1980s. 'Transformers' taps Voight
Jon Voight has joined the cast of Michael Bay's big-budget actioner "The Transformers: The Movie."
The DreamWorks/Paramount live-action production starts lensing later this month, with release scheduled for July 4, 2007.
Voight is the latest actor confirmed by the studio in a cast that has received a lot of attention online. While a casting list recently leaked onto the Internet, many of the rumored names are not likely to end up in the film.
A source close to the production said Josh Duhamel, Bernie Mac, John Turturro, Megan Fox and John Robinson are expected to round out the cast. Travis Van Winkle and Shia LeBeouf have already been announced.

Voight recently wrapped shooting "Pride and Glory" with Colin Farrell and Edward Norton for New Line Cinema.
